About
¡Saludos, I'm Sarita Ocón!
An award winning multidisciplinary artist, producer, and media arts educator based in Austin, Tejas.
"I am currently working on a visual arts commission awarded from DNAWORKS, supported by the Mellon Foundation, examining and exploring the themes of migration and home, borders and citizenship, through my interest in birds and their migration patterns. Experimenting within a new artistic medium of watercolors, this summer of 2026, I will begin the second phase of the project commission by integrating new painting techniques with mixed media. Thanks for visiting!"
